Twelve By Two
Geoff Tracey, a firefighter with Dublin Fire Brigade, along with his good friend Peter Murtagh will be running 12 marathons in twelve months starting on August 29th 2010 in Galway and finishing the following July 2011 with a 26.2 mile run around Tallaght and its environs. In between they will be everywhere from the Shankill Road in Belfast to the Grand Parade in Cork, knee deep in mud on the Wicklow Way and hopefully enjoying the views around Dublin Bay.
Geoff and his wife had their first son Finn in the Coombe Women & Infants University Hospital in September 2007. Finn had a difficult birth and subsequently spent a week in the Special Care Baby Unit, so the Tracey's saw first hand the wonderful work that takes place in the hospital.
